      You can't comment on the biker as you cannot even see wether or not the rider had changed lanes. He was in the centre moving to the left of his lane in the video, heaps of riders are taught to move in their lane so they are more visible.
      Rear ended. Car driver's fault.

      You just become naturaly a hell of alot more observant, I never hit anyone, but have nearly been cleaned up afew times by fuckin idiots, either on the phone, or just too worried about being late for some bullshit thing. Once was a cab, the other 6 times I was nearly smashed by women, 4 of them were on the phone (which is illegal) and the other 2 just didn't look and were going way to fast. No offence to anyone intended, its just my real life experience. Any motorcycle rider will tell you that you just become more aware of your surroundings, your life depends on it. The biker didn't cut off the van, and he was rear ended... the person behind him should have been paying attention, thats the law, and its like that for a reason.

      When ever there's a cop, a reporter, a breakdown or a guy with a camera on the side of the road, stupid drivers are too busy looking at the side of the road to remember how to drive. It does make for lots (and lots) of crash videos, though.

    at the beginning of the clip, the white volkswagon polo has actually just pulled out of the lay-by and started to accelerate .... The bronze Clio has to re-adjust its speed, it can`t change lanes as theres a car in the outside lane, the biker also has to adjust his speed quickly as he`s seen the clio brake ... due to the white polo ... but the silver people carrier isn`t paying attention and doesn`t change there speed and whoops ... clears out the biker !! ... i`m a biker ... i`m not ALWAYS changing lanes, or riding like an idiot etc etc ... but i do pay attention to whats happening in front of/around me ... something the driver of the silver people carrier failed to do !!

    I think that a biker was changing row from the right to the left. The car driver was moving twice faster on the right maybe overtaking a vehicle, which we ll see after a crash. The car driver saw a bike suddenly and tried to avoid crashing by moving to the ritgh and slowing down ( look at the break lights ) . But the same moment biker starts rapidly slowing down. ( he even bends forward ). The car has no time for any manoeuvre and hits the bike. Both were worng. Hope the biker is more of less fine.

  • My analysis

    Not that anyone cares....

    I think its a manifestation of two faults there. The biker slowed down when he came into the lane right in front of the car, which caused the two vehicles to be in close proximity of each other. Had he sped up when he came into the lane, he'd probably be still riding right now. And on the other front, the driver of the van was maybe distracted by the car parked on the shoulder, thus when the biker entered their lane, the driver was slow to react. The driver of the car did have the brakes ON BEFORE he made contact with the bike. It is a video of how, two seemingly harlmess mistakes coincided to make an accident. The bike's lack of speed when it enters the lane, and the van driver's slight distraction caused the accident.

    Most bikers like to ride because the sense of danger gets their adrenaline high. They get high the same way as if they do drugs and car drivers get the blame? Usually (good) bikes are as much expensive as a car, so money isn't the reason. They should get separate lanes.

      and i have no adrenaline high I ride it cause its cheaper and less damaging to the enviroment. Motorcyclists constantly shift in traffic, and he didn't change lanes, watch the video again, the fucking can had its left indicator on, and it HIT THE BIKER IN THE BACK BECAUSE THE DRIVER WAS GORKING AT THE CARS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD...
