A Continental Connection Dash 8 aircraft crashed into a residential area near Buffalo, NY, killing all 44 passengers and four crew members on the aircraft, plus one person on the ground. The aircraft was on a scheduled domestic flight from Newark, NJ, and crashed about five miles from the Buffalo Airport at about 10:20 pm local time.
