Tell ya what.... go to work and work 1 hour over every day for free. Your lifestyle wont change. After all, you(the artist) will only be doing your company(your fans, aka the people that pay you) a favor for free. Nothing wrong with it huh lol. You basically saying its not taking food out of his children's mouths is like saying he is making enough money. Who are you to decide. What if your company decided you made enough money and just didnt pay you $200 a week of what they owed you for your services because hey, you make enough already and should just be happy they let you work there anyway. Dont like that idea? Now THATS being hypocritical.

That argument is so weak,it boggles the mind! If Lars Ulrich WERE actually making "$200 a week", then MAYBE i would understand.(maybe). But he's A F**kING ROCK STAR who makes $200 every time he blinks! As to the whole "company/fans" analogy, Lars better be careful, or he might get fired.( That is, the fans who actually DO only make $200 a week might decide that their hard eaned money would be better spent on artists that DO care about their loyal fans,not some sell-out like Ulrich) I stand by my post 100%.

I never said he made "$200 a week". I said "What if your company decided you made enough money and just didnt pay you $200 a week of what they owed you for your services because hey, you make enough already and should just be happy they let you work there anyway". What that means is what if they decided not to pay you for work you've done. Not that thats all you make, but just what they decided to keep, like $200 out of $1200 you were owed. If you have followed anything Metallica has done, you'd know they do very much care about their fans and do alot for them. Join the fan club and see for yourself. They practically resurrected the taping section at their shows. Their "true fans" had first dibs at front row seats and backstage passes. Hell, they send out a quarterly magazine, not a flyer, a magazine, 4 times a year with a bagful of S**t you cant buy off of the shelf. So they dont care about who? People that steal from them? Hell, I wouldn't either. It still boggles my mind how people think famous people are sellouts because millions of people love them. When a band has 500 fans ooooh they are the most awesome thing that has ever happened. When all of a sudden 50 million people love them it seems they are pushed into "sellout" territory by people that dont want their little band to be famous. THATS what boggles the mind, people are a sellout because they do something millions happen to like? Now I would have to say THATS a weak argument. You can stand by a pile of S**t %, but its still a pile of S**t If you dont see it as stealing, then you either aren't capable or just refuse to see the truth.

I can't believe i'm responding to you but... "... a bag full of S**t you can't BUY off of the shelf..." ? Think maybe there's a reason for that? BECAUSE THEY WOULD LOSE ALOT OF MONEY PLACING IT WHERE A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WOULD BUY IT!!! Put it in a fanzine where they know hardcore fans are willing to pay jacked-up prices for any memoribilia they create... BOOM! Profit! Metallica are just about turning a buck nowadays, Which conflicts with their earlier " we don't give a F**k " days... Hence, sell-out... I think you're the one who refuses to see "the truth"...

I guess you fall into the incapable category. One thing is for sure, you can't cure stupid. I guess every band should just give away what they create for free so they wont be "sellouts". They've sold every album from the first. Hell, the last one was priced the SAME as every other regular cd out, yet included a dvd of a live performance of every single track. I dont see other bands doing that. They made an album of covers and called the the 5.98 EP so that stores couldn't jack up the price to what the stores wanted to jack it up to. If you knew anything about the recording industry, you'd know most headliner bands get about 8% from the sale of EACH cd. Then they pay promoters, management companies, attornies, pay for their own tours which they dont make near as much money as people think, pay for their own videos...bah, doesn't matter. You are incapable and theres obviously no cure for stupid.

On top of all of that, you still misquoted me...again. Finished with your ignorance. I take that back. After reading your response again, I think its your reading comprehension that is really lacking as your response proves you don't, or can't, understand what I'm saying. Now im finished with you.
