This is nothing more than a coil of plastic tubing filled with water. I added a 265,000 MCD LED on each end of the tube. I am powering this with one of my Joule thief toroid circuits. Although it does light well on a single AA battery, I decided just to see what would happen if I used 3 AAA batteries instead. I can add a secondary winding to the toroid and get the same results of light output. This was just a little faster to try. For more information, see the joule thief topic on overunitydotcom.
