Thought
This reminds me of a scenario whereby you have a great lead guitar player that may not read music. Though, some other "classically" trained musicians, may not consider the guitar player a "musician".

This fellow is a terrific, and fun artist. Unique, street, hip, relateable to a particular clientele.
And most importantly, truly talented and efficient. Not just art for the masses. But, art from obviously a passion and ability to produce, for anyone.
