  • funny clip..but i wouldnot go very far

    laughed time and time again everytime i watched this clip. But, for those who are declaring relegious war and using this clip as an example (all you flag-waving bush fans), i think if i were you, i wouldn't go far

    All you have to do is to turn on the tv on any american tv channel late sunday night or early monday morning and you will see jokers pretending to be godly messengers with healing powers.

    I am sure a lot of you, flat-waving morons, have seen these shows were people faint, hit themselves and sometimes, each other to be healed from satan ;)

    To the best of my knowledge, this guy is Shia which is a group within Islam, technically as long as at least 2 groups exist within a religion everybody HAS to belong to some group, just as with Christianity.

    Most Sunni Muslims (about 90% of all Muslims on earth) don't consider Shia to be Muslims, one reason would be the behaviour that you just saw, Sunnis don't believe in self-inflicted harm. Those Muslims Saddam massacred in Iraq? Those were Shia (for the purpose of this comment), and all those people who are actually welcoming the US soldiers, well the would be mostly Shia! :)

    So you Americans are actually in Iraq to give freedom to guys like this in this video! LOL!

    P.S. I'm one of those few Muslims who is tolerant of the opinions of others, so i just practive my religion and leave those other alone, as long as they don't intefere with me. I'm not saying that Shias are wrong or that they should be killed, if you believe they are wrong, then tell them and just let them be, you've done ur part now go worry about urself cause how can u be so sure that ur so right! It’s very difficult to explain the Shiites and Sunni and you must refer to expert for more info, I do know that in USA there is a required course about Islam culture (I remember I toke a class about this stuff..!!). but I can tell you that Islam is NOT what shown in this clip

      1) They do not blame eachother for the Imam's death. They inflict a small amount of pain on themselves as a form of mourning for their Imam. The purpose of inflicting the pain is to feel a bit of the Imam's pain when he was killed, and to mourn his death. They usually hit thesmselves mildly the chest with their hands or on their heads.. The person in the video was hitting his head in an extreme way, most shiates don't do this. However, some extreme shiates do use swords.. but on themselves only. They are in no way dangerous to others. They are only mourning the Imam's death.
      2) The majority of violence and bombing in Iraq is done by sunni extremists. Terror networks, such as as Al Qaida, are also sunni extremists. For sunni extremists, it is ok to to kill shiates because they dont consider them to be muslims. This is not to say that sunnis are the cause of violence. There are 1 billion sunnis in the world.. a very very small portion of them are violent extremists.
