PS3: Afrika

i went to the e3 show this year and i saw this trailer for the 1st time , i asked some agents and devolopers about the game , they told me its a realtime engine ( game ) and the animals movment is realtime too . ( but i think there is some animal movements that need to be fix'd )

about the gameplay :
you will play with a character ( male ) and there will be some other characters ( friends ) with you all the time in the game , you will drive a 4x4 jeep and your mission is to shoot the best videos there and take some photos to wild animals ( just like watching a show on ANIMALPLANET ) ... its not a hunting game but you will carry a rifle and a hand gun for safety and ofcorse the MEDIKIT ( the thing that i prefare to carry more than a wepon , he said) ...

try to see the other trailers ( TGS 2006 ) on games websites like www.gamespot.com .

so ... i guess its gonna be a great game :D

Props to the PS3, however, and this was one of my main concerns about PS3, the movements of the animals aren't fluid enough, too choppy. Hopefully that can be fixed.

what the hell is it a national geographic game?

will be a great game for people who love to make videos of their own. As well as those who can enjoy beauty. Not everything has to be a shooter people!

maybe they should put some "animated" parts of darfur in it, so maybe then Bush'll finally figure out what he should actually do instead of invading Iraq, while he's in his room playing with his ps3

anything can be made to look good by a computer it didnt say it was in game screen capture

...but they aren't quite photo-realistic yet. Next year in 2007 when Microsoft releases DirectX 10 for Windows, games will be capable of photo-realism. Sure it cost $2000 for killer computer, but it will be superior to xbox360 and ps3. Check out Crysis for PC the first game to use DirectX 10. It's unbelievable.

Sony say that every blade of grass on the ground and every leaf in a tree is controlled individually. Thats how powerfull the ps3 really is. As for this game it looks great. There are room for improvements (like on every game). Thats why it said working title. I think the final game will look exelent. Better than this.

somewhere i read u can choose teh lion and piss on trees and freedom of movement is so big you can choose the hippo and F**k an antilope!!! also as you go throught levels guest stars appear like: white bear and city pigeons

so what the hell do you do after the eye-candy effect has warn off. This looks stupid. How bout less attention paid to gfx and more to gameplay?? Sounds like a great idea....no way am I paying $60 for a freaking tech demo....much less $600 for a PS2 with better gfx.

Well, As long we would be able to play this game on a ps3, Smoothly, with same graphics, I'm happy.

movement of almost all the animals are not realistic & natural, except the hyenas part, that was a more realistic scene.. fix it!

This game is crap. WTF are you supposed to do in it. Realize that this is a game trailer. Developers do this stuff all the time to hype people up. The game trailer graphics show nothing of the actual game play graphics.

I really really cant believe the power of PS3. We just watched the trailer and we cant believe that the machine can render this fast and the physics engine is unbelieveable. How many polygons can it draw in a second i cant imagine. I will buy PS3 when it's available. The video shows the power of it.. Look at the grass and skin

Perhaps, as this is the first I have seen of the game, this video is merely showcasing the setting, and the graphics of the game. They are showing you the amazing graphics and the tileset, and then later they will reveal what you will actually be doing. While this is just my opinion, I seriously doubt anyone could be so stupid as to release a game that just basically takes you around Africa. Think about it.
