  • The Last and Best Show ever !

    I remembered those infamous 1980 Mr O in Sydney, with all the great bodybuilders such as Frank Zane,Danny Paddila,Mike Mentzer,Boyer Coe and so on ... were the last contest ! I know it was a "FIX" . I love Arnie but I think MIKE MENTZER should have won and he was absoulute peak condition !

  • He won in 1980, but it was controversial

    Arnold was, and still is, the greatest bodybuilder of all time. This competition was held in Australia 5 years after he "retired" and then came out of retirement for this one show. The judges were not the least bit impartial and there were other bodybuilders there who were in much better shape than Arnold,but the crowd just loved him so much that fairness went out the window. He never competed again.

    that man turning into flab as they have it on some of these magazines. If this was 1980 and now 25 years later, I bet the man still works out. I have no comments about him being a politician now. He did marry into the Kennedy family so I guess it was a catch all.

      now he is older than 50 right? it is way harder to stay in shape than when you're young. bodybuilders probably begin to feel the effects of aging by the time they're 30.

    Arny is the most perfectly formed human being to walk the planet, if you havent seen Pumping Iron then I suggest you do to form you own opinion of current bodybuilding. Those guys work hard, real hard, but they dont look good to me. Neither do the 4 foot something guys like Lee Priest who have spent their whole lives trying to make up for the fact they are short, and then try to make out as though they dont wish they were 6 inches taller. Too much muscle, there is such a thing you know..
