Since the original structures, built circa 1960, the building was transformed to create a spectacular 'turn of the century' safari lodge, designed to complement its natural surroundings. Zambia offers Africa's authentic yesteryear safari camps and lodges for those wanting to see wildlife away from the crowds. With 4-6 rooms on average, Zambia has maintained an authentic safari experience where a native Zambian actually participates and benefits from tourism. Having few numbers of visitors has an inverse relationship to the quality of experience: the fewer the number of vehicles and tourist, the more preserved the environment, and subsequently a better the wilderness and wildlife experience.
