Surely the cameraman didn't stop filming there! I need to know how the mic was removed or if this was staged.

can you imagine the difficulty in staging this? It was a hard task to get the mic right into his mouth. Maybe they have a blooper reel of umpteen takes where he gets smacked in the teeth or nose until they got it right.
