A classic chemistry demonstration, also known as elephant's toothpaste.
Hydrogen peroxide is decomposed to form oxygen gas and water. When potassium iodide is added as a catalyst, the oxygen forms bubbles and creates a large volume of foam.
2H2O2 --> O2 + 2H2O
