its a beautiful song and robeson gives it a great rendition..... too bad he couldn't see through Stalin and all that obvious crap. But it is a fantastic anthem and still is quite stirring.

96% of Americans get the chance to go highschool. Well, in highschool you can try your hardest or your can be lazy. There are ALOT of Scholarships that you can get into if you try. Unless you're mentally unstable then obviously you cannot. There needs to be some time of Capitalism-Socialism... Maybe.. Socitalism? Who knows all I know Capitalism is the best for of government for the 21st C.

Lets try to sum this up, I believe that America is the land of choices and freedom. Lets try and take your communism/socialism theory and direct it into 2 individuals.

So we have a Brain Surgeon, who has spent 10 years in college and has worked really hard for most of his life. Making around 350,000 dollars.
Next we have a Garbage-man making 15,000 a year. Now, being a land of Opportunity why should the person who tried hard is who life give 100,000 dollars to that person?

Communism, in theory, is better than Capitalism but once implemented into the 'real' world it falls to pieces like string cheese.

You need a balance between Capitalism and Communism. For example, the rich provide jobs for the low/middle-class.

The way I see it Communism is where people get their fair share for their work and don't waste things. It is truly the oppisite of capitalism. The leaders of 'communist' countries today are power-hungry fools who don't follow communism and give it a bad name. The Soviets at least were the closest to true communism. Long live Communism! True communism is... is krasnaya.

What you just said is a true to no end. I would like to see a Communist Democracy, if only for observation's sake.

I beg to argue that the Soviet Union under Stalin was much different that what Lenin or Trotsky had in mind. Granted, it was the Soviet industry that you mentioned that allowed the Soviets to beat back the Germans, but it was a great cost to human life. I think the the CCCP under Trotsky would have had a better track record than the Soviet Union that followed that wake of Stalinism.
