Sometimes, people wish to export their WordPress or WordPress.com blogs to other blogging software, for reasons they think are important.

But there is no such feature in the WordPress blogging software: there is an Export feature, but it only works for WordPress blogging software.

That's something Daan Berg wants to do about. He is asking the community for help (especially code writers etc.) to help and write some sort of program to translate the exported XML file from WordPress Export to a file that the blogging software DOES understand.
