Steve's Daughter Bindi Irwin

People say that you are going to be a star. Well Bindi, I think you are a superstar. You go girl.

was a good person, always acted like himself, it didn't really seem like TV changed him at all, and it does alot of people, it trys to mold them into the TV sterotype, but he never would mold, he went out and did what he loved to do, and died doing it. Let this be a lesson to everyone, this guy knew his job was dangerous, but he followed his heart and became very sucessful with what he loved to do, and was willing to die for it, just to help animals. He was an inspiration to alot of people, and will be greatly missed. This was a good speech, sounded a little rehearsed, but who cares, I bet she really ment every word of it, even if it wasn't her words. Steve was such a genuinely good person, always put his family ahead of work, never intentionally did anything to put his family in harms way, and loved living.

This is proof that life is too short to waste, for people that are putting rude comments up, just wait till you dad or mom dies, or your brother or sister, just wait untill you have the feeling of loss, and someone decides to come up and litterally say "HAHA, YOUR BROTHER DIED!" that makes me sick, how could you say that? and about someone that was something none of us could really hope to become, nice, friendly, never lost sight of what he always wanted to do. I look up to this man. Rest In Peace Steve.

it really says something about steve irwin, seeing such a smart,caring and brave little girl like Bindi. what a great dad he must have been.

From one Aussie to another....Bindi you are a legend just like your Dad, I have no doubt that through you and your family your Dad's work will continue! Good on ya babe you've got guts ;)

Shes simply amazing, shes grieving for her father but shes taking his death in her stride and relly showing australia that she has always and will carry on too live for what her father wanted most, too take care of the animals. Shes a born star! You carry on Bindi, your terriffic. :)

I cried so much the first time I saw this, Bindi you are such a strong girl, you're an inspiration to all of us. We will all miss your Dad very much, and if there were more people like him, the world would be a better place. I send my love to Terri and Bob and all the Irwins. We will miss Steve dearly.

an inspiration to us all. we all could learn alot from her. she is a reminder that it really is the little things in life that matter. and as for all that bs and negative press, look at the impact that this one man had on his child. could u honestly say ur child feels like that about you. if so, than u 2 r an inspiration

This kid has got it! She commanded that stage like a veteran! Steve will always be around his family..just as a different loving energy.

i know one thing that it must have took some guts to get up there and if that was me looking down on my daughter i would be extremelly proud so proud it would bring a tear to my eye well done girl i'm sure your dad was watching down on ya and i'm sure he was proud and misses u to xxx

I am sorry if offend some people with my thoughts, but I am trying to be as understanding as i can:
I havent watched this video yet, i would just like to say something.

Steve Irwin was, in my opinion, a showman. Im sure he loved animals and wanted to help the wildlife, but as far as i know, normal people, even if they love animals, dont wrestle with crocodiles like that. though, i understand he wanted to teach the world a little about animals, and with people nowadays, that doesnt intrest them. Its the show thats important, so Steve gave them exactly that.
From the comments and the title i understood a little what this video was about and i would just like to add that i lost my mother on the 14th (October 2006), so i think i understand what Bindi feels, even though im older. (i am 13 for those who would like to know). Losing a parent is very sad, and i admire Bindis courage to make a speech (rehearsed or not) to the world.

Rest in peace Steve, even if i dont agree with your ideas.

Your dad will be very proud.But something tells me that he always was proud on you and that he still is.

His programmes were quality to watch, but he did do some crazy things. Yes the man was a nutter, but if he wasnt I wouldnt have been able to see that crazy stuff. Anyway he will be remembered.

this girl has heart.
When my first-born son died, I felt it my place to speak at his service.. I got up there and cried. Not one word could I say.. the emotions were way too deep and painful.
For this child to be able to speak so beautifully is a tribute to her self and to her parents.
I never was a fan of Steve's.. but I surely am a fan of Bindi's.
What a shame she'll have to live the rest of her life without another one of Daddy's hugs.

Well, seems she isn't shy - like her father.

Anyway, realistically, she may have had a little help with her speech, but the delivery was still excellent. It's still pretty sad what happened to Steve Irwin, and I imagine it was because of his child-like appreciation of animals that it happened (he always loved to grab at them!).

Did anyone else notice that her accent seems VERY slightly hybridised (between American and Aussie). I think it was at least.
