This is another of those idiotic commercials where they go to extremes to exaggerate the conditions, then show the logo and slogan at the end. People keep editing the last parts out and submitting them as real video. Just like the Toyota Tundra getting struck by the meteor.

this video is real the guy commentating it was just put in. They asked him if they could use the video footage for a pwerade commercial and he said yes, for some money i dont know how much. look it up. the guy is a surfer freak looking for bigger than normal waves he can just catch.

It is real!!!!!! If you doubt it you obviously have no idea what is being accomplished in surfing at the present day. Waves with faces upwards of 70ft on the face have been ridden. Waves the size on the footage don't need an offshore wind to be clean, they move at about 80 kp/h and can give the impression the conditions are offshore, even when they are not. Oh and by the way, white water has just as much momentum in it as the un-broken face

i have seen people surf in tsunami weather in indonesia on the island called gilitrawangan...i tried it too...the waves were 12ft..the biggest one was 14 1/2ft at least...2 people died...i almost did too...even the strongest swimmer has no way of surviving...people just get lucky and live to tell the tale.

There are two things that annoy me about this video, in fact 3 although I totally admit it is really well done.
1-The wind is supposed to be blowing 111 mph on shore, yet the water sprinkles clearly show the wind blowing in the opposite direction on the wave.
2-Its sunny once you're zoomed on the wave, and very cloudy a few meters back on the shore.
3-No one can stay on the board in this kind of white water unless feetstrapped to it, and you are rather towed-in if strapped to the board, or not if you paddle in (its either one or the other)
4-The zoom is well done but not perfect (Flame or Inferno, anyway its compositing or cgi)
Nice compositing anyway, at least 25 person have been fooled :-)

And after a second look, that wave really is not that huge. Sure, that's plent of white water, but there's surf all over the world that's bigger than that on a regular, not-stormed induced day.
That surfer pulled it off.
You really should learn something about surfing before acting like an expert. Watch RIDING GIANTS, and you'll see big wave riders take on stuff without "feet being strapped" or leashes.

not only was this a commercial but this is like entirely computerized S**t , the lip of the wave landed right on him, there is no way of making that wave.. People do surf waves that big, but not in storms, and they also go with professional teams, and they use Jetski's to tow into the waves, because they are too big to paddle into.
