You people are killing me. This is not a fake it, is a very old practice of using liquid filled crystal glasses to produce musical notes. Varying the amount of liquid varies the pitch of the sound. Any good musician should ba able to, by trial and error, at least, to ascertain the proper amount of liquid to get a specific note. Arrange them in a manner they are comfortable with and you now have a musical intrument. To play, all you need is to lightly moisten the fingertip and drag it around the rim of the glass. The minute grip and release of the skin of the fingertip as it drags sets up vibration in the crystal of the glass causing it to vibrate like a tuning fork. Remember, the amount of liquid in each glass alters the pitch of the vibration making SPECIFIC notes. Honestly people, did you pay attention in school?

I've done an experiment like this before and it's actually pretty cool. The sound comes out just as in would in a organ's pipes, but there needs to be a certain amount of water in each shape of class for this to work. The man was probably holding metal tongs to create a certain frequency when holding above the water. He may have used either 128hz or 256hz tongs, I'm not sure which ones specifically. It's awesome watching this in person, but you get the same idea from the video.
