This is what i think. At first he had a body double some one who looks like him(thats why he doesnt remove his sunglasses). He is standing on the other stage/pole already. When his double puts the cloth over himself, the stage from underneath opens and he falls into it. They move the cloth to the other stage/pole by means of an invisible rope or something like that and cyril comes out from underneath at the same time.
