i caught a red eyed snaper in tennessee, endagered specieces, i didnt know that at the time, but it was fighting 3 wild dogs and i saved it from them. i scared the dogs away, and i took a broom from the back of my truck , it latched on to the stick and wouldnt let go. ihad it in the back of my truck for a day, and i let itgo into a nearby swamp. went to the knoxville zoo a few days later, and found out it was indangered. but to late.

I got close to one of these when I was fishing on the shore...I was waist deep in water and I saw all the weeds moving and a big snapper came up and looked at me(about 2 feet in front of me)...scared the S**t outa me

They may seem harmless, but they have a bite force much greater than a Tiger and Hyenas combined. Nearly has much force as a crocodiles. This turtle can easily defend itself even against larger animals.
