Well you've just heard a pitch for a type of business that can make you "your own boss", "bring you financial freedom", or even "become and independent distributer", chances are it was from someone you know because your on their "warm" list.

This type of business is commonly referred to as multi-level marketing or MLM, although it may be called by other names, including network marketing, direct, or affiliate program. Why so many names?
