House fire video from Terre Haute Indiana.
There is nothing worth saving here other than the exposed homes...I agree with past comments...the first lines off the truck should have been used to protect exposures. From the amount of manpower onscene and the style of command this could be a volunteer department with limited resources.
By boscokid755 1182435096I hope these guys are not professional firefighters! I can see so many mistakes I dont quite know where to start. 1. no exposure lines as an early attack method even given the paint on the 2nd sector exposure is begining to bubble! 2. The attacking firefighters are using jets to attack (and most of the water is going through the roof to nowhere!) rather then a much more effective powercone! 3. What the hell is the ladder platform there for? This was at best a 2nd alarm house fire!!! 4. What the HELL is that knob (who I am guessing is in charge!) that has no tunic on "going in" for!!! I cant believe the stupidity!!! As professional firefighters (I am in Australia) we are given PPE to keep us safe. the choice not to use it is I can not understand. I hope the guys in this film live through to retirement!
By topher093 1162111999Unbelievable lack of experience and use of PPE. Maybe this fireman there is in charge and thinks that is a hero or something ... poor rookies if you going to take lessons from this man I’ am feeling very sorry for you. Fighting fires in Europe it’s not an easy job and we are not the elite firelighters but those guys are unbelievable...
You must set this example as not to! (Sorry for my bad English)
