  • Think before you post

    Checkdisk, spinrite, etc, will not fix your hard drive. It will possibly recover your data - if you are lucky.

    Straightening pins and shorting out broken circuit veins or components is a temp fix before buying a new hard drive.

    Always backup your data. Always. When the time comes just remove and replace drive.

  • Seriously?

    You really need to relabel this to "How to remove your hard drive". When you say repair, I was fully expecting you to show how to do chkdsk /f /r or another sort of bad sector repair...not how to remove it. It is economically not feasible to physically repair your hard drive, just replace it. This is an ok video on how some hard drives are removed.
