Yes I think it is an f**** up concept for a game but women are beaten and raped everyday in many places of the world by sick pervs but hey if this game can keep those pervs occupied then maybe it can keep those pervs from doing it in the real world. There are many games that promote worse things than R**e and that include sex such as GTA. Violent crimes are commited every day and not everyone of them are going to be stopped.

Did you actually finish the game? Do you know the main character in the end gets killed for all his crime?

You think , a game that's about some guy goes around killing people (including women), gunning down cops around a large scale city, helping mafia selling drugs, blow up buildings, torching people alive with flamethrower...etc etc.. is OK.

But a game that stimulates R**e is not?

There are tons of porn site that are targeting people with raping fetish all across America, how come they're not banned? how come the media didn't expose these web sites and start a national frenzy, but instead focuses itself on attacking on a foreign game that's only released via through internet?

Do you starts doing burn out on the street and race your friends on highways after watching Fast and the furious?

Use and Gratification theory explain the whole concept of media influence, that we as the users of media forms living in a free society, use the media for whatever purpose we want, then we gratify and leave it alone.

Harmful materials are restricted to adults only to prevent teenagers who have S**t for brain from getting influenced. Even then, when kids manage to get their hands on GTA, the worse influence they'll get is reflected on the language they use, and their outlook on life. They don't just start rampaging around city and gunning down people.

The game may, or may not satisfy people, may or may not offend people, its purpose in the end is to entertainment its targeting audiences. Anyone with an iq about 30 should know, Just because in the game the character gets to R**e women, doesn't mean the country that allow the distribution of this product have no law against raping, or women who live in that society have less right.

As for your question in the end, yes it's possible.
statistic done in Japan shows that having animation that promotes weird fantasies, or comic (manga) with the same theme, actually have significantly reduced crime rate around the country. I'll try to dig up the article if you want to see it.

But seriously, it's a game. it should be restricted to 18 years old and above only, that much is for sure, just like all other violent games. To ban it, and not just in America but all around the world, is a JOKE.
And those who get offended by this game but not by True Crime, Paradise City, Grand theft Auto, are nothing but hypocrite

Funny thing is freedom , when does it have a limit ? I am not saying that I am OK with R**e Game but do we Ban Sex for fear of Aids or for a more morale guidness like its a SIN. Freedom is a Good thing but I think for the last 50 years it have been abused for the DARK side if u know what I mean .
