If you want to get technical why not just compare all these euro cars to to saleen s7 twin turbo or even the new saleen s7 twin turbo competition which is supposed to have 1000hp. End of story. Not even Bugatti Veyron could keep up with that.

American speed limits range from 55-75 mph. The American roads are straight and way more maintained than European roads. Therefore, and American car has no reason to go around a corner at 140 mph.

If BMWs are soooo fast, then why don't I see people drag racing them?? That's why you see old Chevelles and Challengers winning races. They handle like S**t , but honestly what red-blooded male wouldn't want a 600 hp monster that scares the living S**t out of those turbocharged weed-whacker engines they use in other countries.

Oh, and find a 500hp BMW that costs less than a 500hp American car...you can't. I'll take cheap and raw grunt anyday. And don't worry about cornering. Unless you're a F**king dumbass that hits the gas around the corner doing 140 mph, then you'll be fine.

obivously in europe you have those gas savers that you can barely fit in one with no power and comfort at all!!!!!!!!!Then you have the luxury line very expensive in europe that not a lot of people can afford it.BMW MERCEDES ETC.Here in the States we got everything:from cheap gas to great cars that don't handle the best but the KICK s#$t out of everything european.Don't get me wrong i'm a european living in the States so there is no hate towards nobody!!!!...Great car though and last thing i can say is who would buy a car that has 500 horses for less than 50k or about 50 k(not sure on the price)????

i had corvette before now i just got 2007 bmw 550 with sport package and 6 spd trans, this car it s like glued to the road, no matter how hard i change lanes and at whatever speed the car just stuck to the road with out any chance of skiding, so whatever patriotic S**t u dumb ass americans say, the truth is what this guy just deskribed.
And i m not even saying anything about quality of the vehicles. American cars are putten together by mexicans so expect what you pay for. My car was built in Germany and then sent here. I trust it to last me untill i have to replace with one of those future flying cars.

As for the corvette .... clutch replaced, trans rebulit, rear differential replaced and othe minor S**t Beside after like 15000 miles the car makes some weird anoying sounds that were really pissing me off. As for the Mustang I saw Saleen at dealershit for 58 K, this car exept for fast take off cant offer nothing else, the seats are so stiff that i had back spasm after few seconds of seating in it, good luck on the long distance trip.
So be more realistic no matter how hard it is for your patriotic asses to sleep at night.

I suggest you find it's lap times on the N'ring, I believe it's the 7th fastest production car on there, it costs around 70,000 grand and was only beaten by cars like, Zonda F, Carrera GT, Enzo, don't want to know their prices.

Actually, because of supply shortages GT500s really go for like $60-65, so you're much better off buying a C6 Z06.
