  • This is a tragedy

Monkeys should never be kept as "pets." This poor animal will never have a happy life in a group of its peers. Only accredited zoos and/or sanctuaries should hold primates. Sorry--I know some of you will think this is "fun," but I'd like you to see another side of the issue.

I had sex with a monkey last year in Zambia for 5 bucks. Great fun

    • HIV

Since it's widely known that the HIV virus spread from monkeys/apes to humans, you should have a test.

Is "SEX" the correct word? Did the monkey consent? If you really did this, I suggest you proudly tell people that you RAPED "a monkey in Zambia last year for 5 bucks and it was great fun."

Your mother would be SO PROUD.

    • Monkey Biz

Don't worry this Monkey is a movie animal not a pet, it was in Pirates of the Caribbean and live in a sanctuary not a home.

      Thanks for your concern...

    • "Movie" animal?

Movies or pets...it's the same thing. This monkey was taken from its parent and turned into a "quasi-human" for our enjoyment. It's a Capuchin, considered one of the smartest monkeys, and deserves a life with its own kind--not being turned into some kind of entertainer. When primates reach sexual maturity, they begin to assert dominance and trouble starts--much like the poor chimp in Connecticut.

Sorry--this is STILL a tragedy and I look forward to the day when primates as pets OR slaves to our "entertainment" are all illegal!
