By TheRealSuperman 1148655447 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHe survived, but must have been one scary situation to first have to cling onto to helicopter for dear life to keep beign thrown into the propellers, then fall into the water just to see propellers coming down on you.
By DUMA 1143657825 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe man coming out was the pilot
By someone54521 1145385055 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat happened to the poor man?
By Lavender 1143218434 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhat happend whe
By hey! hey! 1145322258 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI think the pilot and the co pilot survived because one of them climbs out at the end. But I think the winch man was injured or died because he would of got crushed by the helicopter or injured by the rotor blades decintergrating into the water. But he might of survived !!!
By crusher 1133377834 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTheir heads almost got chopped off.
By Ideasmiths 1127023227 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBoy that poor guy on the winch line. Almost looked as if he was going to make it.
By mikeaus 1115616151 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewatch at the end of the video
By Jiraiya 1121617826 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat guy that jumped must have been sliced to ribbons by the rotor blades. I just can't see how he might have survived...
By ReeReeJr 1191634719 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBreakdancing helicopters. What will they think of next?
By Intro24 1183783905 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHello,
That is really very FRIGHTENING !
have a nice day !
What happened that the pilot lost control of the chopper?
By bremex 1157569238 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI fly helicopters and from what I can see it looks like the pilot was possibly having another problem before he even dipped it in the water. He's looks to be all over the place.
At first I thought his tail rotor (the fan types are called fenestrons) quit on him before he even touched the water and he backed off the throttle to cancel the torque that would spin him (and making him come down). But then I saw as he hit the water the fenestron is spitting water through it.
Something else that could have happened if he was coming in too fast he could have gotten into settling with power, which is in effect getting stuck in your downwash. It can progress very quickly and only speeds as time goes on. I can't say for sure though because I didn't see his whole descent.
If you lose the tail rotor the proper procedure is too chop the throttle which will IMMEDIATLY stop the turn and allow you some control in setting the bird down. It doesn't really look like he did that, but he did do a damn good job at keeping the helicopter upright as long as he did (watch the rotor disc flail about).
i hope that those roaters of the helicopter didnt kill that guy that jumped off the boat!! omg !
By hashmanian 1148832653 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedamn man, i gotta se a doctor.. cu'z that looked like a helicopter to me.. silly me, boat's can't fly.. ddd =))
By Smayo 1151576693 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemen this is so sad he just flight and he falls and the helicopter cut him into pices!!:( =[ :[
By PredatoR16 1147418798 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI can't say he wasn't, but you can't say he was.
Would seem like the rotors hit the water a bit further away from him.
Doesn't anyone watch Spike TV?? LOL
By SlimBlue3 1134430366 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGreat job on the rescue!
By TheRealSuperman 1148655345 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI wonder wat happend to the winch man...too bad ...but anyway..it is the stupid driver fault..
By Krayzieee 1134026846 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeits a pilot not a driver, and if you look closer its the tail rota thts stopped working o it has become uncontrolable! idot
By r1ccardo 1135327846 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHowever it only stopped working because the pilot submerged it in the water! The force on the rotor becasue of the higher viscosity of the water combined with the rotors large rotational speed would have broken the drive shaft that couples the large rotor to the tail rotor... or at least damaged it! That is why the helicopter began spinning, as the tail rotor could no longed cancel out the torque created by the engine turning the main rotor as it no longer had a connection to the motor (I suspect).
Overall, I would say pilot error here.
wat happend to that man!!!!
