That's NOT an in-flight MOVIE
You can see by the logo in the corner they are watching the National Geographic channel. This is in-flight TELEVISION, not a movie. The airline doesn't have any control over what TV programs are shown by National Geographic.

In other words, if you don't like what you see, change the channel!

  no hookd on phonics for me, i also spell "your" and "you're" with just a "yr", oh and i dont put an "e" when there's an "ed" on anything, there's a few othr litl quirks in my spelling, but that should hold yr berating-ness at bay for a moment or so

- I saw that guy on metacafe
  about 2 months ago and thought it was really kinda neat so I kept a copy of it and made a wave and mp3 file so I could play it from time to time in the car or on my mp3 player.

Flying...
Look!
You're in a thin (<4mm), pressurised Aluminum tube, five miles up, breathing partly recycled air, risking DVT, travelling at around 550mph and the outside air temperature is somewhere around -60°C, and you're paying through the nose for the priveledge.
I think they should show stuff like that to make you realise just how lucky you are to arrive safe and sound at the destination, even if your luggage doesn't always ;o)

  I checked the Airbus A319/320/321 Structural Repair Manual last night at work.
  The thinnest section of skin is 1.2mm (0.047"), the thickest is 8mm.

- Aircraft Fuselage Skin thickness.
  I did type <4mm (less than 4mm)
  The skin of a pressurised passenger jet varies throughout the fuselage.
  Some places will be as thin as 2-3mm, whereas others will be up to 6mm+.
  The skin is thicker around any cut-outs, such as windows and doors, either by adding layers, or by milling a thick sheet down in areas where it needs to be thinner, leaving the full thickness where it's needed.
  I'm an Aircraft Engineer by the way, have been for 31 years ;o)
  I've done my fair share of skin repairs.
