I have shocked my self many times, I didn't repeat the same action to see if it would happen again. That guy got what he deservered the second time. You can't get a shock from a 12 volt battery. The capacitor doesn't increase the voltage. In fact, with a large 12 volt battery, the capacitor has no effect at all.

Just on the face of it, without arguing how to produce such an electrical charge, do r-e-a-l-l-y believe this is fake? Everything in this video SCREAMS as an authentic yet dirty prank. How do you stage this with the perfect bodily reactions displayed by the victim? But who, if this is supposedly staged would have thought they can better pass this off by having the guy go and touch it again!!!? I think not dude. This is real.

That's true, unless it's wired to a spark coil. That can deliver a shock very much like a spark plug - painful as hell and can cause someone to hurt himself or others getting away from it. Anyone pulling a prank like this on the job site would be fired on the spot for horseplay, and justifiably so. This is a stupid thing to do.

Have you ever touched a spark plug wire on a car? You're talking about thousands of volts. It cannot electrocute you, but it will definitely set you free.

This CAN kill you. Voltage is NOT like amperage. When compared it is an inverse ratio, meaning the lower the voltage the higher the amperage. It's why a stun gun won't (usually) kill you - Very high voltage = low amperage. Technically it only takes .5 amps to stop your heart. This is a very stupid prank. And for those who say the capacitor won't kill him go ahead and mess with the capacitor on the top of your crt tv or crt computer monitor. You can even wait a couple of years since it was used last. Go ahead, you'll be doing us all a favor by culling the human herd of another idiot. Honestly, did ANY of you pay attention in school. For those of you smart enough to NOT do the above go ahead and touch the coil of a running vehicle (your choice) - chances are good it won't kill you but for scientific purposes keep track of how long it takes to get the use of your arm back again...
