The Captive Bolt used to kill the horses was ment for cattle.It was not intended for use on horses and therfor does not work right.A horse must be hit time and time again to render it so it can not fight while it's throat is being slit.At least in Canada they use a gun shot to the head and all is over quickly.In the US we use what is not made for horses.It workks effectivly on cattle.Do not get me wrong i do not approve of killing any animal just to shove food in my mouth!

you or your child needed this drug to live. there must be alot of people that it helps. look at mink farms they are for profit only, or puppy mills at least this drug is helping people

What if the drug was absolutely worthless? Premarin is an absolutley worthless drug made of Pure Estorgen which causes Breast and Reprodcutive Cancer AND increases the risk of Heat Disease. NOW WHAT KIND OF A DRUG IS THIS? THAT CAUSES CANCER AND HEART DISEASE?

Since way back in teh 60's there have been alternative and natural replacements for this drug - there is no need to put any animal through this suffering - there is no need to bring babies into this world only to DIE ! As for animals in research - that is another topic - we know that 90 percent of animal testing fails when it comes to human tests !

This medicine is only for women to help their hot flashes while going through menapause!It is no life saving drug and now it has been shown that this medicine is causeing cancer in women who take it.The cruelty goes farther that just the horses here.It is just another method for this company (Wyeth) to make money and cause mysery.There are safer and better methods and medicine for women going through menapause.

it has been known to cause serious and even fatal cancer. And you wouldnt use this on your child. this drug is used for women going through the syptoms of menopause. This drug will not improve your life what so ever. the process in which the drug is recieved is very painful. anyone whos been pregnant can tell you its hard, but imagine standig through it, wired up, standing in urine and fecal matter. Also, look at the horses' hooves. they are in very poor condition due to lack of movement and waering down. Mares who are saved from these farms often suffer from tendon, ligement, and spinal damage.

And Monty Roberts horses and the Queen of Englands horses They all live in stalls in the barn In order to fight the enemy you need to have the proper facts and know your subject

And have seen too much proof - animal suffering - human suffering because of this horrid drug - it is up to the women to say NO and ask your doctors for the humane and safe alternatives ! My mother used alternatives back in the 60's - she educated me well - and I have used the alternative also with no problems - and with a clear mind that no animal suffered for me !

I agree that horses should not be eaten however the stopping of horse slaughter and the increase in the price of fuel and hay and grain has created a huge supply of unwanted horses. I have a private horse rescue and Ive taken in as many as I can Ive spent THOUSANDS of dollars of our own money to support these animals Everybody thinks Im crazy, but Id do it again . Ive been criticized because I rescue horses that need it, not horses that I can turn around and sell for a profit (not there is any profit in the horse business)Now Im out of money with 60 horses and no end in sight People are telling me to just go out and shoot them all and Ive evewn thought about it but I really could never do it It costs me around $300 dollars per day just for feed, then theres the vet bill (rescue horses have issues they are usually hurt, sick or old or all of that worms lice etc) Im out of money and I dont know whats going to happen. Most of the other horse rescues non-profit and private are in the same boat. Everyone wants to talk "O horse slaughter is so bad!!" but no one wants to put their money where their mouth is!! Everyone has something to say, no one has any useful ideas or funds to help. Horses are being found tied to trees (so they cant come home) dead. They are being dumped on stae lands and resevations, left to starve, and even found shot on the side of the road. Some people just run out of money and cant afford to keep their horse, but right now there is no market for the everyday horse so they cant even sell them. It costs a lot of money (about $2000 in this area to put a horse down and have its body taken care of) See the problem? If you cant afford to feed a horse how can you afford to have it disposed of? And what about the old and infirm horses in this economy they are left to die with no consideration and no comfort. So...Any ideas?
