The T-80 main battle tank has been in production since the late 1970's. KBTM of Omsk, Russian Federation, manufactures the T-80U for general use in infantry and tank units and the T-80UK command tank and XKBM, Kharkov, Ukraine, manufactures the T-80UD and the T-84. 320 T-80UD tanks have been ordered from Ukraine by Pakistan, and are being delivered. In August 2002, it was announced that South Korea is to purchase from Russia a number of T-80 tanks.

      yes the abrams has been taken out by enemy tanks... just because they dont put out a breaking news report on you stupid americans favorite cartoon shows dosent mean it hasent happened... the United States of America is EXTREMELY good at keeping things a secret and also extremely good at fooling people... your american citizens are a prime example of this! you believe whatever they tell you to believe and question nothing!... 9 abrams were lost during the gulf war, and 11 have been lost to enemy tank fire in iraq, while better than 20 have been lost to friendly fire!... and more than 400~ have been lost to IED's, mines, ect.

    The T-80 is a very powerful tank but it doesnt compare to the M1/A2. Even though the T-80 has a 125mm cannon and the M1/A2 has a 120mm cannon, the thing that matters is TECHNOLOGY. We have the best equimpment for our tanks (which includes nightvision, infrared, thermal sensors, and with that, the M1/A2 can detect, and shoot before the enemy can even know it.
