He did it behind the goal? How? He shot through the goal and scored c'mon.. You can only score a goal in front of the goal or with a wraparound. This is impossible to do as a wrap around so what you said makes no sense.

i saw him do it and yes it was behind the net, he had the puck on his stick and then he reached over the net and stuck it on the top corner

That goal by Ovechkin was pure luck, although you have to admit, it was a pretty nice and rare goal to see.

Thats like saying Michael Jordans eye closed free throws where just luck. Great athletes do great things. Ovechkin knew where the puck was and took a swipe at it. Not luck. Luck is a very interesting concept. I would believe it was luck if he hadnt scored all of his other goals in his Rookie year. Go look at them. His drive and perserverence alone breeds luck. Just like every other super athlete.
