Diet Cocaine [13+]

THAT was all you have to say about that? The JOKE of the whole thing is that coke doesn't make you fat - it makes you emaciated. That is the whole irony of diet cocaine - the point. I am normally NOT a hostile person about my comedy, but you can't POSSIBLY tell me you didn't get that. And if that is indeed the case, you are an idiot. It is incredibly simple. Do you not see that the character wanting to lose weight is incredibly skinny? Do you not think about the possible correlation between that and "diet" cocaine? I really don't know what to say to you other than I am completely amazed someone could be THAT humorless. I would think even the President of the United States would laugh at that. Of course, he would have to step out of his self-created "ONLY SPONGEBOB" box, but he'd laugh.

The joke is not funny because there is no irony in it. Coke does not make you fat. That is a fact. So now you are saying that "diet cocaine" will not make you fat either. Big deal.

Here are some examples drug comedy: "new non-drowsy heroin," "non-addictive meth," etc. The actual effect of the substance conflicts with its expected effect creating an ironic situation. Whereas in your profoundly idiotic clip the actual effect of the drug meets expectations: cocaine does in fact make you skinny and so will "diet cocaine." You present a revealing portrait of your own comic ineptitude. Good day my friend.

PS. I CAN see the irony of "diet cocaine" but it is a weak joke. The jist is why would some one want to make more annorexic an already annorexic drug. Ha ha. Not as good as "non drowsy heroin."

The joke is that a DIET cocaine would be entirely stupid and unnecessary. Meaning you don't GET THE JOKE.

It is funny because it is NOT ironic while the view is expecting irony. This dissonance of expectation and outcome, with respect to the gist of the joke, creates a meta-irony, or second order irony, which is in fact funny. If you want to not become embroiled in flame wars such as this, do not attack your viewers or insult their intelligence because they hold different views than yours. I am sorry if my inital comment offended you but I stand by the later analysis.

Thinking and joking are not incompatable. Watch Steven Colbert. He is very good at sythesizing the two.
