Outstanding jet, outstanding pilot, outstanding technology. Glad Russia and America do not fight. Many on both sides would get badly hurt. Olga Korbut, Nelly Kim, Liudimilla Tourischeva, Anna Kournikova, Maria Sharapova, etc., whom many of us Americans adore, would be so upset and disappointed. Real men and women hate to disappoint those they adore.
you can use it but it burns a huge amount of fire. what happens basicly is they shoot fuel in behind the engine. lots of fuel. kind of makes the engine like a rcoket. thus the term after burner it burns the fuel after the engine
It was wonderful display of flying talen...

How could anybody say it was boring??? Did you see the few times it almost caught on fire in the back . I think he was giving it too much gas , and the engines almost caught on fire - . If you look carefully the egines get so hot in the back that they catch on fire , but lucky for the pilot , he was able to put it out in time to land safelt and get it fixed ...
Bobby mate that was a good show indeed. Though the engines never caught fire what u saw were after burners engaged by the pilot to get extra thrust(power). It glows a couple of feet behind the aircraft, if u view it at night u cud see it better. Right now only India has ordered 16 for its refurbished aircraft carrier
can someone tell me ..

I am curious...wich one is better?a Su 30 or a MIG 29?
Both are great planes, but Su-30 (Su-30MKI if you are compairning India's Mig-29's to their Su-30MKI's) is a better plane with thrust vectoring. Su-30MKI Vs. MIG-29.....Su will come out as winner hands down. There's a new Mig-35 coming out i blv, which has thrust vectoring..now that will be something to see.
To watch fighter jet videos is as boring as watching golf, entertaining and interesting only for the people who perform or play, not for bystanders. My opinion lol.
Nearly all modern jet engines pass through a certain amount of fuel which remains unburnt through the combsution process and pass out into the air, That is where the jet fighter engines come in having that extra stage to burn the excess fuel providing more thrust after the main combustion stage....hence the phrase AfterBurner...that is exactly what it is.
And the Mig 29 is a very formidable plane, I see them regularly now in the UK since the collapse of the Eastern Bloc....the RAF Pilots love them !!!

his engines didnt nearly go on fire! its natural its called the AFTERBURNER. thats when pushes trottle to max, u get more power!!
