The F-111 is a multipurpose tactical fighter bomber capable of supersonic speeds. It can operate from tree-top level to altitudes above 60,000 feet (18,200 meters).
The F-111 has variable-sweep wings that allow the pilot to fly from slow approach speeds to supersonic velocity at sea level and more than twice the speed of sound at higher altitudes. Wings angle from 16 degrees (full forward) to 72.5 degrees (full aft). Full-forward wings give the most surface area and maximum lift for short takeoff and landing. The F-111 needs no drag chute or reserve thrust to slow down after landing.

      Sounds like a baby. Love how everone loves to hate America, yet they call cry for help for everything, from food and medical help to help when they are attacked. America sends TONS of food all over the world yet no one even sends one word of thanks. When something bad happends America sends them money, medical help, food and water, yet again America is bad. Then the next time something in the world happends and America should not send help and let you cry babys deal with it.

    and still vastly inferior to the British TSR2 from the 1960s, an aircraft that would still be viable today if the brits hadn't caved in to the yanks again and cancelled the project. "Oh please don't build your TSR2, it makes our F111 look S**t "
