Boeing is teamed with Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney and the U.S. Air Force to develop the F-22 Raptor as a replacement for the F-15. Its stealth, supercruise ability, advanced integrated avionics and other features will make it the most potent fighter in the world. The F-22 will take over the air superiority role with the Air Combat Command in late 2005.

    HANDS DOWN, THIS JET DOES IT ALL EXCEPT INTERPLANETARY EXPLORATION. THE MANUEVERABILITY IS MIND BOGGELING AND EVASIVE MANUEVERS THAT LOOK LIKE THE CRAFT IS STALLING YET ITS IN CONTROL THE WHOLE TIME RANK IT ABOVE ANY FIGHTER JET TODAY AND OVER ANY THAT HAVE EXISTED. CLOSEST THING TO COME TO ITS LEVEL IS A UFO....LOL. F22 RAPTOR ARE TRUELY THE GUARDIANS IN THE HEAVENS

    F-22 is like Ferrari of Sky, but Ferrari can be toped.. New generation of Fighter Jets are getting compatative everyday. Now about it's manuverability...it can be out manuvered. The new Mig, which is coming out soon has 3-D thrust vectoring and can pull 10-11G manuvers (i don't know who or what can match that). The Su-30 MKI and Su-37's have 2-D thrust vectoring (TV), but have higher angle of TV than F-22. Seen a Su-30MKI do double flips (Full 360) while going in straing line and still mentaining that line after doing that manuver, Cobra alone was impresive. With the Mig-35 or MIG-29 M OVT? having 3-D TV...god knows what that thing is capable of. All i can say if F-22 Vs Su-37 or new Mig...i got my money again F-22 (which i hate to do). Long range i will put my money on F-22.

      F-22 is hands down king of all kings....i've seen su's do some crazy stunts...and u are correct they are bad ass...but when it comes to the overall package then the f22 will reign supreme...in a dog fight, you dont have to do all those accrobatics. Im a USAF fly boy so I take pride in my people! THe upcoming mig 35's are gonna awesome but still no comparison. Our f15s destroyed the mig 29s and f22's make the 15s look ancient....the navy blue angels use f15s to fly and those guys hit 9g's with no grav suit! and the f22's again is far more superior than those jets...IN a dogfight, I would not choose anything else but the Raptor...you cant fight what you cant see! Huah...Air Power!

      your rite about the f22 ruling the skys but for a fly boy from the usaf to twice screw up on what the blue angels fly? last time i checked it was an f18 since the navy NEVER used f15s.

    Actually, I'm in the AF in the ACC and the Raptor hasn't quite reached that point yet. Awesome aircraft, just one is worth 4 F-15s in a dogfight.
