This is security cam footage of a worker getting run over by a truck at the railroad hub where my wife works. Somehow he only suffered bone chips in his ring finger! Amazing!

      A Turkish baby-sitter in the US, was sent to prison (I think for 5 years), after she saved the baby who was choking to death. Doctors said that if she hadn't immediately taken the blocking piece out of the baby's throat, she would die before 911 could save her.     I am a maintenance mechanic for a construction company. One day I had to change the airfilter in one of the trucks. I told the yard guy that he could go ahead load the trailer while I was working on the truck. Everything was fine till the truck rolled forward right on my foot and stopped there. The yard guy didn't know what happen till he heard me yelling. In a panic, he quickly moved the truck freeing my foot. Thank goodness for steel toe boots I only had a sore foot.

      ...more at risk from shock than anything else.

      While it wasn't fun, it wasn't as bad as it looked. No load on the trailer and weight distributed evenly among the tires.

      That explains why he got off with only the chipped bones and what must have been a hell of a headache.
