On October 4, 2006, an F-14 Tomcat from VF-31 "Tomcatters" made the final landing of a US Navy Tomcat at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, New York, just minutes away from where it was originally built. Felix 101 was the second to last Tomcat ever built by Grumman in Bethpage/Calverton in Long Island.
