Eurofighter Typhoon [13+]

The F-15 is a old Aircraft. But even it being old it still far superior then almost all Aircraft today. Now if you are going to match the typhoon with the newer aircraft than like itself, than you would have to match it against the Raptor (F-22). Now the F-22 can cruise at the same speed as the top speed of an F-15 so obviously the F-22 speed is unmatched. As far as close combat (Dog Fight), Hello? ....... The F-22 has actuating thrusters. It is highly maneuverable so it’s built for Dog Fights. So in conclusion …. HANDS DOWN TOP Aircraft in the world belongs to F-22 Raptor!!!!

both these aircraft are the bets in their fields, unfortunately they're designed for different jobs. the f-22 raptor is a long distance stealth bomber, not built for dog fights - but built to neutralise anything that gets too close - thus keeping its mission covert. the Typhoon however, is designed as a multi-role aircraft. i would know...i fly one of the latest british testers. I've spoken to some yanks who stopped briefly at my station with a raptor - testing its long flight capabilities. they seemed very impressed with the typhoon and we both agreed that it would be extemly benefitial that should it be required - the typhoon would make an excellent long-distance escort for the raptor on missions should it be necessary.

The F-22 was designed as a replacement for the F-15C, the ability to attack ground targets was added to keep congress happy. They will probably never use the F-22 for ground strike. thats what the F-35 will be for. The Eurofighter is a fine late 1980's design, but it is not stealthy, that vertical stabiliser reflects radar real well, they should have put dual stabilisers canted outward for stealthiness.

It already happened. Two US F-15s with veteran pilots encountered a single Typhoon. As is customary between allied fighter pilots, they decided to have a spot of fun. The Typhoon, with a pilot who was barely checked out in the aircraft and had no combat experience with those systems, was consistently able to evade the F-15s and end up on their tail. The Typhoon is a superior aircraft to the F-15, and I'm not too proud to admit it. The countries of the Eurofighter project did a great job with this aircraft. I would like to see the Typhoon scrimmage against the F-35 or F-22 - both incorporating stealth technology while the Typhoon does not.

im not that much of a fan of the F-22 but i pretty much say that its the best jet in the world. But costly, and i read a article that US might sell a few F-22s. And i say SU series are better than the f-15

Too much computer graphics, and doesn't really show what plane is capable of, I'd rather watch the live flight show demostration description rather than computer graphics, where they over exhadurate.

F-35, f-22 no match hands down the eurofighter would lose. Their wouldn't even be a dogfight that would happen, even though F-22 and F-35 would still win. Euro fighter would be picked up and shot down before either pilots see eachother and way before the euro fighter knew we were there.

both the f-22 and the f-35 have vectored thrust. F-22 can vector it up and down, along witht the amazing power between the two engins dont think anything could beat it. The F-35 has a single eingen and can vector the nozzel in any direction even side to side. one manover it can do is go up to stalling speed then level off and fall, with the thrust vectoring it can spin and keep the enemy in sight, would be hard to be enemy since once you get him in sight you would probably pass him if your close enough. not saying that spin is standered procedure but it is possible and pretty cool too

With an F-22 which will not become available outside the US, an F-35 which will not become available for a long time and the F-117 soon to be retired the Eurofighter is a good and affordable alternative.

the raptor and the JSF would pick up the euro fighter way before it knew the f-22 or f-35 was there, f-22/f-35 can engage and fire before the enemy even knows we were there.

Most infrared AtoA missles do not turn over 30 degree's. They more of sense heat tragectaries and close angle to target. They then detonate in approximatey of the heat source, causing splash damage.

That guy in reality would be picking missle out of his ass for years, or dead.

Its not also ill advise to turn on full afterburners 100% RPM's with a IR missle coming up your tail pipe. Your ass would be glowing hella hotter then those flares.

Rafale is weaker in every department against Typhoon.
Weaker radar ,less thrust , less weapons, bigger radar sig, no supercruise, no RAF pilots.

You don't need a superior fighter to win a war, it only cost a lot of money..............

having tested the typhoon against harriers - anyone in a ahrrier would not stand a chance, i was flying against a pilot with much greater experience - and he is, genuinely better than me, but due to the upper hand gained by the typhoon for me, i could permanently stay on his tail.
