The Ringo Future Technology
but i cant see how it could ever be more than an idea.
floating, follow me round projector system maybe?
The display need not be visible on the actual ground. A set of glasses that puts it only in your eyes would do. Let the glasses form an ad-hoc network witth other nearby glasses, and you could see the other people's displays too. the hard part would be interpreting the hand gestures. This tech is actually possible with our present level of technology. We just need to put the elements together. The needed computer might be a little bulky still, though.
Maybe, instead of glasses, frequency specific HUD display contact lens... so you don't have to see everyone elses "OGD" (on-ground displays). Unless of course you wanted to see someone elses, then you'd just pinch their ear lobe.
