African Honey Badger Eats Snakes

I bought one of these from a market in Cairo when I was on a business trip last year. I managed to get it home by heavily sedating it and hiding it in my hand luggage, although one or two people did notice the smell.

The bad news is that it made a terrible pet. Naturally I kept it chained up by one of its back legs, and I had to squirt it with Mace before I could get close enough to stroke it. It was actually quite affectionate and quiet after spraying it with Mace.

Anyway, enough was enough when it tore off one of my child's thumbs, and reluctantly I decided to get rid of it. I drove him just out of town and let him go on some school playing fields - which looked so lovely and spacious for him.

So my advice is stick to cats and dogs, or if you do go for one of these cute little guys I'd have your vet de-tooth it.

I loved the comment by the person who acquired a Honey Badger for a "pet" and turn it loose in the children's park... What a funny tale. What was even funnier was the outrage of those who believed this fairy tale... Long live the Honey Badger!

Poor animal, some country don't have this kinds, should have left it alone or sent to a zoo rather than left it anywhere. probably dead by now and its ur conscience.... hope ur happy.

Ain't Nature wonderful? I've always heard that the honey badger was the baddest little guy in the wild, but I hadn't heard that he could digest the poison after being bitten. Awesome. Thanks for posting. 5*

Honey badgers are awesome survivalists, my parents own land just outside the city and we have 2 wolves we domesticated since birth after their mother abandoned them and they get along with 3 other dogs that live out there with them, they don't even realize they are wolves, even though their 2-3 times bigger than the dogs lol
