This is in the style of the Creature Comforts animations made by Aardman Animations (the people behind Wallace & Gromit etc), the original animations started with recording conversations and then made an animation to suit, they were used (maybe created for?) an advertising campaign by British Gas. Google Creature Comforts for loads of clips on their site.

The Creature Comforts animations were not used by British Gas but for Heat Electric, they were created prior to being used in these adverts. Series of these animations have been aired, on ITV, ABC (Australia) and Comedy Central
