  I've never seen them played on TV. I live in Montreal and we get all the US stations, etc. Maybe they run only on sports networks in which case I'll stick to viewing them here.

Yes, this bird is a parrot....
The bird in this commercial IS A PARROT. It is a Sulfur Crested Cockatoo, although which sub-species I am not certain of. In reality, Cockatoos are native to Australia, Indonesia, and many of the smaller islands in that part of the world.
