Kojima confirmed rumours about the movie were true they are making it, but havent said nothing about it. Kojima said he would like Viggo Mortensen to be snake or also David Hayter(snake voice actor).

no that guy at the last of this trailer he aparently a clone of the old guy (snake) the old guy u saw in MGS 3 SNAKE eater is that old guy and you kno he took this syrum to make him super human-ish well bassically in this he only has about 4 months to live bcuz of the syrum even though it help him in reflexes and gymnastics and stuff like that it also speeded his life up not sure by how much they are making clones of the original snake (the old guy) the guy at the end of this trailer is a cloned form of snake

there are two main possibilities i have been thinking and i have read before. The man we have been seeing on the other trailers is big boss, that is why he injects something in the neck, but is not very possible since he meets with Otacon and the Colonel. The other option, that i think more acurate, is that the one at the en of the video is Raiden, but with a mask of Solid Snake, an Naked Snaked(big boss) did on Snake Eater in the beggining and part of the mission

Big Boss is DEAD, you moron. He was killed by Snake in MG2. As for Raiden, why would he want to disguise himself as Snake? He's already taken the position of the cyborg ninja for MGS4 (sadly, MGS3 could not possibly have had a cyborg, since it took place in '64). Raiden doesn't even have the same build as Snake, so while he could facially resemble Snake with a mask on, he could not possibly match Snake's physique. Those were the worst 2 theories I've ever heard...

Hideo Kojima said on an E3 conference that Big Boss will appear again in this MGS game although they havent said anything again, but if that is not the reason I said it was not very likely because he knows Colonel Campbell. If you dont believe me check out this website, and the raiden mask thing they can take it as a joke as they did with Johny Sasaki on all the previous metal gears.

Big Boss' body is currently being used for genetic experiments, which is why the promotional artwork for him makes him appear to be naked... and dead. Death is impossible to reverse. Oh, and don't go pulling Gray Fox into things, since he wasn't really dead when they turned him into a cyborg. He was merely badly injured, since he lost a third of his body mass, so they managed to encase what was left of him into an exoskeleton. Him not really dying in MG2 ought to be stated in his profile for the DGN (from what I've heard, his profile should say that).

Check out this thread (as well as the sticky topics) on GameFAQs. Instead of Raiden wearing a Snake mask, it could be old Snake camouflaging himself as young Snake (it's shown in the beginning of this trailer that he can camouflage his face) or vice versa. This makes much more sense than the Big Boss or Raiden theories you mentioned.

Search Metal Gear Solid on wikipedia and read for yourself. It's either he meant Kojima the designer or Konami the developer.
