- How old?...
  The game was released in Europe around 1993. It was released in Japan earlier than that though. So I'd say the ad was aired around the start of the 1990s or end of 1980s.

  It was the same for the original Japanese advert for the first ever 'Metroid' game. Samus was in 3D as she flew onto the screen on a famicom disk as though it were a surfboard!
