if i'd were ther, i'd totally gear down, then fully accelerate, and then, while i'm still acceleratin' gear up, maybe then, da car gets enough strengh to catch some traction and turn left, if it don't works, well, i can always buy some snow tires; ya know, those with da spikes! LOL!

Let the wheels spin so that you can steer. Use lower gear for engine braking effect.

Locking the wheels is the worst thing you can do. Let go of the brakes, and turn, at least then something is acting against the slide and trying to get out of it. And get some good tyres, they make all the difference, i dont care if you have locking diffs and dont change down below 2nd the rubber connected to the road will make the most difference.

Someone posted this video a while back. It was in April 2003 if I remember right in Denver, Colorado (U.S.A.) There was a really bad blizzard, so... that's what happens when you go out after it.
