    it DOES clearly show why pentium is so much more expensive than a comparable AMD cpu,an AMD will fry to death without the heatsink,the Pentium merely freezes and shuts down

      Where is the thermal glue on the Pentium processors? You can see it on the AMD but not the Pentium ever stop to think that it is what’s causing the extreme failure

    • AMD's don't "fry to death"!

      The AMD's in this clip have had their motherboard's temperature monitors turned off! If an AMD chip overheats, it'll just shutdown exactly the same as the Intel did in this clip. No doubt if you can disable this feature on an Intel processor too, it'll probably fry the same (try it and see - if they're so good).

  • Paid videos

    The video shows not actual cpus and unfair treatment of cpus, old amd cpus used to have this heat issue, but there's no one dumb enough to remove heatsink as brutal as they did when the computer was running.

    These tests were done using an Athlon motherboard that didn't support the on-board thermal diode. Everyone who has seen this video should know that. Toms Hardware took a schlacking for it and most people don't even visit that site anymore. Go see the new video where the CPU's survive.

    I'll bet the AMD chip didn't smell good as it burnt to a crisp. Possibly a coating of a thermally activated scent, say Pine, applied to the chip during the manufacturing process would help.

    I have a AMD processor and had a fan stop working nothing happend to the cpu, you people are jokes it happens to the Intel chips to the principle is the same you just need more Intel and AMD chips because one chip is not enough for a thing like this to be 100% true. Or 2 you need at least 10 and then compare them. Jeez
