It's my understanding that only us Americans drive on the right hand side of the road. That, I've heard, goes back to colonial America, when we were rebelling against England. They drove their carriages on the left hand side, as does the rest of the world, but us Americans, having to prove our independence decided to buck the system and drive on the right hand side of the road. Don't quote me I don't know for sure.
It's a darling commercial though, and in my imagination totally probable :)
i traveled to six countries, 5 of them the drive on the right side including my orriginal country and the only one on the left (thailand)

Most of the world (by population) drive on the left including UK, Ireland, Japan, Australia and most of Africa. Hyundai are good cars because they don't charge an extra 20% for a silly badge like BMW's etc I know I've driven all of them.

it was filmed in NZ however the actor was australian. It recently won an award for best add even though it was nearly banned cause too many mothers complained that kids may try to mimic it!!
also atleast driving on the left hand side has a reason behind it. It alows horse riders to use their sword arm if they get in a fight with someone while on a road.

let's not get our knickers in a knot about which side of the road is better (or more correct) to drive on... this is great advertising. It helps that the kids are just too adorable. Don't know enough about Hyundai but they can't be any less reliable that some North American cars I've driven.
