I absolutely believe every adult has the right to slowly kill themselves as they so choose. Both my parents (both heavy smokers) died of lung cancer - a coincidence? I think not. But it was their choice, and until my mother was on an oxygen tank, she kept smoking (she only quit then so she wouldn't explode.) Do I think they were idiots? Absolutely! But it was their choice and I would not take that choice away from any adult. Do I smoke? Are you NUTS????? Of course not. But that's MY choice.

YES I am a smoker and YES I know that I would be a lot healthier if I gave up, BUT again it is my choice. Cancers can be smoking related but then again so can so many other things. I went to school with a guy that died from lung cancer. He didn't drink and didn't smoke & lived in a small country town in "fresh air" - how ironic is that? I do, however agree, that smokers should not do so in enclosed spaces but other then that - it is "Our Choice".

The truth, is that it annoys people that they have to quit an addiction, just because someone else is bothered by it... People are selfish plain and simple...
Now in my opinion, smokers are stupis as well as selfish, but that's purely subjective....
Thank god for the rule of law, that finally have enforced smoking bans (atleast in some countries) in "enclosed spaces" as it was termed. Why should anyone be forced to breathe stinking smoke, just because the next guy wants to satisfy his addiction.... I really don't care what people think smoking does to you... For me, it's enough that it bothers me so I won't accept it....
Now.... if they could invent a cigarette with a balloon or something to capture the smoke.... maybe it could serve two purposes, keeping my air smoke free, and give the smoker the pleasure of enjoying all of his cigarette, and in addition deliever a quicker-slow death, like he so urgently wishes according to some....

Hi all. I am a 21 year old non smoker.... ofcourse the decision is up to u.. but you have to think of it as right or wrong. If you know its wrong u shouldnt do it,, not because it might only hurt but its going to hurts other people by influencing them and making them wana smoke too... now look.. i never smoked.. but its not only cause i care about myself.. i care about other people too.. i dont want them to carry this habit because of me.. no i dont want to be the reason of it.. and i do not want my children in the future to smoke.. i know my children will like me and my qualities and if they find i dont smoke neither will they... so please if you smoke the last one you think about is yourself consider the other people affected, at least smoke in private.

Oh come on now, give it a rest about the smoking. All you whiners about smoking know is what you're told by a bunch of bureaucrats telling you what and how to think. What a baby! Did you ever hear of a wash machine for clothes or toothpaste, a toothbrush and mouthwash for your mouth? Most people that smoke know all the health hazards and don't need you to tell them that. Still that does not help with the addiction. Most I know would love to quit but haven't been able to. If the government was smart they would take those huge taxes they give smokers and use them for programs to help people quit that want to. Do you know how much the prescription programs cost?? The average guy can't afford them! But then you don't give a crap, do you? Except for yourself!

I only know this joke is a great "classic" -but in the version I used to hear it, the guy was loking for / "finding" / crushing his GLASSES... I have nothing against smokers except for one thing: Smoking around people who do not want to be around it. Public places really can't be helped, but if a non-smoker is in his/her own home and doesn't want to be around it, don't smoke there! I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and my mother almost killed me once when she smoked in the house (we had a small house). I didn't want to be around that and I kept telling her, but she wouldn't listen.
But anyway, like I said. Nothing against you smokers, just please try to keep it respectful. : )

are addicts, pure and simple. The great majority of them defend smoking because they are hooked like a drug addict and haven't the guts, willpower or brains to give it up.
