Everyone seems to miss the point of self-defense techniques. They are to be as a LAST RESORT. Any instructor will tell you that, if he just wants your money, FORK IT OVER! You are only to use these techniques if you think he will kill you anyway. A slim fighting chance is better than bending over and kissing your butt goodbye. Also, you must consider that most people who point a gun at someone have never killed anyone before. Most of them have no intention of doing anything but looking tough and taking your money. It is a proven fact that in a situation like this, your attacker is most likely not psychologicaly prepared to fire at you. He will hesitate. He very well might still shoot, but the slight moment of mental conflict might be the half a second you need to get to the outside of that gun. Most of you claiming you would just blow someone's head off if they tried it are just patheticly minded juvenilles who have no idea what the psychological implications are of killing another human being. Even hardened military soldiers have trouble getting over it and must be harshly trained to, guess what, NOT HESITATE! They joined the military knowing it only has two purposes, killing people and breaking things! And even THEY hesitate. Let's all remember that appearing to be a bad #@$ is quite different from being a sociopath. If you would really just shoot a man for trying to defend himself against you with no hesitation, you are most likely a sociopath, and you should, and probably will, be locked away forever or be put to death.
