called working model, only difference is this uses a touch screen application. It's not like he's just drawing random stuff and they just work as anchors and wheels. The program reacts to the stuff you draw and how you overlap them. Not as easy as it looks, you still have to learn it.
IT'S NOT FAKE, IT'S REAL. Iphone and Ipod touch have a all most similiar programe and it's even cooler than this. It's called sketches or sand or something and i've seen it.
the guys had a senser in the marker and behind the board he had another senser behind the board and the senser behind the board was ran to a laptop with a projector pointing at the screen and were ever he touch the board the projector would project were the marker was there u go!!!! ty
OK, so i have been introduced to this video, and all the links are not working correctly!
so, i did some research, and found out that he is using Working Model 2D. This can be seen in the title bar at [1:42]
so i went and downloaded the files, and got the same stuff as him!
it can be downloaded from my site here:
http://monsterous2008.co.uk/Working_Model_2D.zip
I think for his demonstrations, he has used another peice of software, or found a feature i have not yet found, so any further ideas on this bit would be nice.

they are not about $80,000 youcan get them for about $5000. all they consist of are a normal data projector (about $2000-3000) and a touch board (also about $2000-3000).
If they cost about $80,000 eachhow do schools afford about 10 or more!
I could definitely use one of these...

This would help so much with my AP physics work. I'm not very good at visualizing... I definitely need one. Although I'm sure it's amazingly expensive :[ Too bad.
Yay my teacher has one of these and she ran this program ----she tried to make a catapult where a rock fell on one side and launched a square on the other side---the rock kept on missing the catupult so she got so made and put the special marker thing threw the bored---she got in big trouble by the principal
What's the program called? An answer...

The clue is is the first 5 words Randy Davis says...
ASSIST Sketch Recognition System
as mentioned by winsinger.
The pintar mechanics program (which does work, if you get it from pintar) has most of the features, but not the recognising what you draw bit. And that's the cool bit.
However, I can't seem to find MIT's ASSIST Sketch Recognition System to download, I guess its a work in progress?? Can anyone find where you can get it??
I think these are called SmartBoards. My school has four of these sitting in a closet because they are afraid that students will misuse them. I think that just leaving them in a closet is misuse.
the program is Pintar Mechanics
you gan get a demo form here :
pintarmedia.com
its also use a software for Hand draw recognition
Excellent programming

Please can someone tell me the name of this programming language?
I will love to have the software.
Can someone enlighting me more on the programming language, what can be used for and when to use it.
This is excellent.
That guys has a terrible sense of physics, even I could tell that the balls wouldn't fall into the cage at the first attempt.
Despite being an jackass about that, I think overall the idea is damn cool, and I know I would draw away for hours and giggle like an idiot at the various things I would come up with.

evry computer can do that u jast need the damn program!
How does it know that a line and a circle is a pendulum? what if I didn't mean for that shape to represent a pendulum? and what is the mass of the marbles and the stretching coefficients for the springs? are they automatically assigned? can they be changed? I need more info dammit!!
heh, so cool, wher can i down load that......email me at jedipants@gmail.com
haha...funny, interesting

It's cool how it all works, but the guy just couldn't get those marbles into that dang cup. I would have laughed if they didn't make it in that last time.haha! It's like they say always be smarter than your computer, if not, you'll lose your marbles.. lol

this kind of software isn't available yet. as we specialise in building software, we decided to try it out b4 permission to put it into general use. i'l add more as thgs develop.

that is really cool how a computer can actually understand what you want it to do

i have the board system but i didnt know that there is program that does this things
That was COOL!!!!
physics teachers should use this more often in their lessons; saves time and space. The age of black boards is over!
loved it :)

this would be so helpful in a physics class! my high school physics teacher would have gone NUTS for this. so cool.
called "sanki" .. its an animation. " similar "
damn great

another computer freak....lol
Wauw amazing! I have tried to download it from http:// www.fizica. ambra.ro /download/ softfizica /Mechanics _Lite. exe
But is it a demo version?
i think the name is "mechanics lite"
i download it
tank you for this prog
(sorry i'm french)
This looks very cool
What is that program called???????
I play whit this beta version 4 hours and still playing... its wonderfull!!!
using a Smart Board, but i'm not sure
where can i download this??
i laugh and laugh because i dont believe whatt technology can do !!!
just f*ckin great man !!
tanks !
man, i never knew we could reach this level of technology.
i'm an animator, and this will definatly help
great vid man, thumbs up
we are near the edge
Imagine for explaine movement or motrice stenght ! Gravity ... etc. !
Been wanting to make something like this myself. I wonder what languages it is written in?
