There are some high-speed 35mm motion picture cameras (Photonics or Photosonics comes to mind) that shoot as much as 100,000 frames per second, and I've even heard of some doing a million FPS! Those cameras actually shred the sprockets by the end of the magazine.

I was surprised at how much faster the rubber attains normality than the water. It takes only a couple of frames for the rubber to be completely done, but the water holds its shape for a bunch of frames.

That's because the only force acting on the water is gravity, which is fairly weak. The rubber wants to be pulled back much more than gravity wants to take the water.
